A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman. The caption was “This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?”

The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way:

“Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great tenderness.
They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia.
They sing incredibly well and sometimes even are on cds. They are impressive and dearly loved animals, which everyone defend and admires.

Mermaids do not exist.

But if they existed, they would line up to see a psychologist because of a problem of split personality: woman or fish?
They would have no sex life and could not bear children.
Yes, they would be lovely, but lonely and sad.
And, who wants a girl that smells like fish by his side?

Without a doubt, I’d rather be a whale.

At a time when the media tells us that only thin is beautiful, I prefer to eat ice cream with my kids, to have dinner with my husband, to eat and drink and have fun with my friends.

We women, gain weight because we accumulate so much wisdom and knowledge that there isn’t enough space in our heads, and it spreads all over our bodies.
We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated.
Every time I see my curves in the mirror, I tell myself: “How amazing am I ?! “

A Beluga whale has become a sensation at an aquarium after learning how to blow halo-shaped bubbles. The extraordinary sight was captured on camera by photographer Hiroya Minakuchi at the Shimane aquarium in Japan. He said: “This beluga started making bubble rings when she was seven. And a couple of years ago she developed her technique. Now she blows the water from her mouth to make a current, which is not visible for us underwater. She then blows air from her blow hole into the current and that makes a ring shape.”

this is so extremely heartbreaking.
this is exactly why we need to always tell the ones we love just how much we love them.
this is why we need to hug everyone, even strangers. and always wear a smile on our faces.
we never know who might need help.. or who’s on their way to a bridge.

that is what we should, but sometimes we just can’t.

Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.

The world has lost an incredible man today, a genius. He has changed the world for many with his amazing inventions. He has changed my world with his admirable way of thinking and view on life. Reminding us to live life to the fullest, concentrating on our own, instead of gossiping and living someone else’s life. Showing us how someone with no money, no degree, and what seemed like no opportunities has changed the whole world simply because he was DRIVEN. Simply because he was determined and focused. Who says you can’t make it? Nothing’s impossible. The word itself says: I’m-possible.

NBC announced today that it has picked up a family sitcom starring Snoop Dogg, to be penned by TV writerDon Reo of Blossom fame.

Snoop Dogg will play the father in the as-yet-untitled sitcom that will likely borrow heavily from the rapper’s own experiences as seen on the E! reality show Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.

This will be Snoops’ second involvement in a Reo project, having previously appeared on the short-lived Fox sitcom Brothers, which Reo created.

No one deserves to be treated that way. So even if you love him with your entire heart, with every fiber of your being, with so much passion that it hurts to think about, you need to forget what you want and remember what you deserve.

Change is very difficult, and people would rather stay in the comfort of what they already know, usually out of fear of the unknown and new situations. Which is why there are so many people stuck in habits and cycles. Stuck in hurtful relationships and friendships; stuck in a job that frustrates them or a lifestyle that bores them; stuck in a career or town that sickens them. But I assure you that even if it may seem scary, even if you think you can’t do it, YOU CAN. Remove those people from your life, quit that job, change your ways or your career, move to another town! Life is so fragile and you never really know what day will be your last one. So stop wasting your time on being anything but HAPPY.
