A big hug!
I’m writing to congratulate you. If you’re reading this right now, you’re alive, you haven’t quit, you haven’t given up. You are such a strong person. Many of you come here to look at the pretty pictures or skim through the quotes or learn something interesting. But others come here seeking answers, wanting to feel less alone, wishing to find comfort and hope. The latter, I really do congratulate you (of course I congratulate the former as well, but the latter gets a bit more of a special congrats). Wether I have helped in your being alive and reading this right now or not, I am happy you are here, the world would be less without you. I wish I could be next to you this very moment, hugging you, making you laugh, tickling you… anything.
Throughout the years her0in chic has received many thankful messages. You each know who you are, and I just want to say that I should be the one thanking you. When you were expressing your gratitude towards me with your beautiful and heartfelt words, I was getting the motivation to not give up on my own life and on my own deals. I may have helped you survive or change in some way, but you helped me, too. I wish this is what they meant when they say ‘an eye for an eye.’
I’ve also gained some wonderful friends, and even though I haven’t revealed my identity to them, I feel like our bond is stronger than the one I’ve had with any of my real life friends. I think that this is the meaning of true friendship. You know who you are, too. And I hope we always keep in touch. I love you more than words can say.
I’m always there for anyone who needs me. I enjoy opening Facebook and reading all your messages, even if they’re extremely long, they make me so happy. I read them and reply. And yes, I keep the secrets. So whenever you need to vent, talk to someone, ask for advice, you can write to me through e-mail [firstname.lastname@example.org].
You can follow me on Twitter, where I post many quotes in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French. Many of which I do not post on the blog, I’m sorry for that, and I promise in the future I’ll try to post the same content on both places for those that don’t have Twitter.
There’s also the Facebook page, where I try to post daily motivational statuses and pictures. Some of which I also do not post on the blog. And you can also find the her0inchic challenge there.
I love each and every one of you that press like, that write comments, that write wall posts, that retweet, that send me messages, everything. I really do, and I am constantly wishing you the best and sending you good vibrations.
I will always be here for you. I love you.
I am touching my screen as I write this. I am thinking of you as I write this. I am picturing you smiling and laughing as I write this. I am wishing you peace as I write this. I send you love.
As you read this.
Yes, I was infatuated with you: I am still. No one has ever heightened such a keen capacity of physical sensation in me. I cut you out because I couldn’t stand being a passing fancy. Before I give my body, I must give my thoughts, my mind, my dreams. And you weren’t having any of those.
My heart stopped. It just stopped beating. And for the first time in my life, I had that feeling. You know, like the world is moving all around you, all beneath you, all inside you, and you’re floating. Floating in midair. And the only thing keeping you from drifting away is the other person’s eyes. They’re connected to yours by some invisible physical force, and they hold you fast while the rest of the world swirls and twirls and falls completely away.
I’ve never understood why looking hot had to be equated with sex and conquest. Whatever happened to anticipation, to courtship, to true love? Can’t a person look hot and not have it mean something? Call me an old-fashioned Naomi bitch, but I’m holding out for true love. Even if it’s an unattainable fantasy
I am proud that I defy your categories. I am proud that I don’t fit easily into any box. I am proud of all the things I am and all the things i can be. Question yourself every time you think you only see one thing in me.
people moving all the time
inside a perfectly straight line
don’t you want to curve away?
when it’s such, it’s such a perfect day

Good evening, World.
Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any bloke. But in the spirit of commemoration, thereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone’s death or the end of some awful bloody struggle, a celebration of a nice holiday, I thought we could mark this November the 5th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat.
There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being shouted into telephones, and men with guns will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this world, isn’t there?
Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who’s to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn’t be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to your rulers. They promised you order, they promised you peace, and all they demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.
I seek to end that silence. I want to remind this world of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the fifth of November forever in our memory. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. So if you’ve seen nothing, if the crimes of the governments remain unknown to you then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me, educate yourselves and educate others, fight for your rights, and together we shall give them not only a fifth of November, but years that shall never, ever be forgot.
Life is a moment. There is no hereafter. So make it burn always with the hardest flame.
“There are so many things we’ve been brought up to believe that it takes you an awfully long time to realize that they aren’t you.”
So Kim Kardashian is getting a divorce, 72 days after a wedding that is variously reported to have cost $10 million or more. Just to put that in perspective, that sum could have built 200 schools in poor countries around the world for kids who desperately want an education. Then Kardashian could have helped transform the world, not just entertain it. And the schools would have lasted incomparably longer than her marriage. – Nicholas D. You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

A happy ending to the sad story of Lily, the sightless six-year-old Great Dane, and her guide dog Maddison, who had been handed over to a dog shelter in Roden, Shropshire, this July by owners who could no longer care for them.
Dogs Trust Shrewsbury announced yesterday that it has successfully rehomed the two dogs after fielding some 400 calls from potential caregivers. Anne and Len Williams of Nantwich, Cheshire, won out after converting their garage into a giant dog house for Lily and her companion.
Score 1 for the 99: Backlash from consumers has forced Bank of America to ditch its plan to charge a $5 monthly fee on debit card usage.
“We have listened to our customers very closely over the last few weeks,” said Bank of America Co-Chief Operating Officer David Darnell, “and recognize their concern with our proposed debit usage fee.”
BoA’s shares dropped 6 percent in the wake of the announcement. Several banks recently decided to scrap similar test programs, while others canceled existing fees.
“It’s a sign of consumer power in action,” Norma Garcia of Consumers Union was quoted as saying. “This is a sign of the marketplace working.”
As much as I have boycotted showing models in my website for a long time,
I just had to share this photo shoot.
Adam Levine and his girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Anne V, are too hot.
I don’t understand what happened to his torso in one of the pictures, though…
But apart from the terrible editing job the Photoshoppers did for Russian Vogue,
these pictures are so sexy.
We are in the midst of a painkiller epidemic. A new CDC report found that more Americans die every year from overdosing on prescription pain pills, such as Vicodin and OxyContin, than die from heroin & cocaine combined.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said yesterday that the number of prescription drug deaths, about 40 a day, has more than tripled over the past decade.
“We are in the midst of an epidemic of prescription narcotic overdose,” Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the CDC, said yesterday during a telebriefing.
The most recent statistics, from 2008, show 36,450 drug overdose deaths. Of those, 20,044 were from prescription drugs, and 14,800 of those were narcotic painkillers — nearly four times the painkiller death toll of 4,000 in 1999.
Superagent Ari Emanuel never told his wife Sarah that he was about to be immortalized in “Entourage” by Jeremy Piven — playing Ari Gold — because “I didn’t think the show would go anywhere,” he told the crowd at a recent visit to PepsiCo headquarters in Purchase, N.Y.
The William Morris Endeavor agency CEO confessed his pessimism for the show’s prospects even though “Entourage” was based on and co-created by his client, Mark Wahlberg. The HBO hit ran for eight seasons and is now headed for the big screen.
Sarah eventually learned about Ari Gold and his wife, Melissa, played by Perrey Reeves, from her girlfriends. “He said Ari Gold’s personality was based on him, but the show’s not a real depiction of his marriage,” our tipster added.
Facebook Is Serious Business: Detectives in Des Moines arrested a 30-year-old woman suspected of setting fire to the house of a long-time friend because she recently de-friended her on Facebook.
Jennifer Christine Harris was charged with first-degree arson and is currently being held in the Polk County Jail. No one was injured in the blaze, but the family’s garage was destroyed.
According to home owner Jim Rasmussen, Harris and his wife Nikki recently had a falling out “because she ended their friendship on Facebook.” It seems the source of the conflict involves a party event that Nikki created on Jen’s behalf that received “a lot of ‘declines’.”
When asked to name a person who might seek to harm, Rasmussen offered Jen’s name. A subsequent police investigation strengthened suspicion of her involvement.
